Meet the team

Paul Begley qualified as a dental surgeon in 1980 from Liverpool University. He worked at Liverpool and Bristol Dental Hospitals, and then at Arrowe Park and Plymouth General Hospitals, and gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1984.

He then studied at the Institute for Dental Surgery and The Eastman Dental Hospital from 1984 to 1986 gaining the degree of MSc. in Conservative Dentistry, and completed Higher Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry in 1991 while a Lecturer at the University of Leeds.

Paul is on the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register in Restorative Dentistry, and has operated specialist practices in Endodontics and Restorative dentistry since 1993. He offers a referral service in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry and Implant Dentistry.

Paul has lectured to dental practitioners groups on the mainland and overseas. The surgery in Tisbury is fully equipped for Endodontic, Restorative and Implant procedures and is manned for the whole working week. The surgical microscope, essential for many of the finely detailed procedures, is in everyday use, as are ultrasonics and other aids to successful operative treatment.

Claudia joined us at Tisbury Dental & Implant Clinic in 2005.

Claudia qualified as a dentist from the University of Dresden in 1991. She spent her first 5 working years as a general dentist in Germany. During this time she gained her Dr Med by writing a scientific dissertation in Microbiology.

Claudia provides first class general dentistry for adults and children, dental tooth implants, cosmetic dentistry, invisible braces, snoring appliances and also offers more complex denture work, including precision attachments and telescopic crowns, a widely used treatment option in Germany. She also offers facial aesthetic treatments.

In addition, Claudia uses an innovative local anaesthetics system from the United States that feels much more comfortable than standard injections. It’s called the WAND, and yes, it’s magic!

Claudia is very passionate about keeping up to date and attends courses and lectures on a regular basis.

Claudia moved to Britain in 1996, where she lived and worked in Edinburgh, Scotland. She also lived in Nairobi, Kenya, for almost a decade, but came back to Scotland on a regular basis, before moving to England in 2005.

Claudia is married to an Englishman (that's how she came here) and has 2 children, 3 dogs, a cat, a pony called Tommy, some chickens and ferrets. She loves the outdoors and countryside pursuits.

Luke Lucas is a general dentist with over twenty years of clinical experience. By using the most up to date techniques to diagnose, prevent and treat dental disease, Luke aims to help patients achieve a healthy, comfortable mouth for life.

Luke qualified at Guys Hospital London in 1993 and obtained the general dental practitioners diploma in 1996 at the royal college of surgeons. He completed his dental implant training in Boston, USA, in 2002 and is experienced in the use of a variety of implant systems.

Proficient in dental acupuncture, lasers and invisible braces Luke is able to treat a wide range of dental needs. Luke splits his clinical time between Tisbury Dental & Implant Clinic and Haynes Dental & Implant Clinic (another Portman practice) in London.

Having moved to East Devon from London with his wife and two children in 2013 Luke and his family are now very settled in the south west. He is a keen tennis, squash, table tennis and badminton player and has competed in UK Racketlon competitions in the past.

Konstantinos Nazer graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2013. During the course of his studies, he had been chosen as an official Oral Health examiner in a National survey (Greece) regarding gum diseases and caries.

Being always curious about the pathogenesis of specific diseases of the oral cavity, he spent a considerable amount of his own time in a lab as part of a research team. Subsequently, he had the chance to contribute to the European Oral microbiology workshop, this also being the result of his previous lab work by presenting his collaborated lab work there.

Apart from his interest in research, he ultimately realized that providing patients with the advanced care and treating very difficult and extreme cases in a broad spectrum of dentistry was his own goal as well as his professional aspiration. To enhance his clinical skills, he attended various clinical/theoretical courses regarding implantology and aesthetic dentistry. He has worked privately as a general dentist since his graduation, always by the side of a specialist and he is constantly keen to provide dentistry of the utmost quality.

When he came to the UK, he continually worked as a general dental practitioner, providing services under the national health system and private sector at the same time.

Given his true and genuine enthusiasm about dentistry while always being willing to provide the absolute best care to his patients, in 2020 he started his postgraduate degree and training in Implant dentistry at the Faculty of General Dental Practice (RCS), which is currently ongoing.

During his free time, among other things, he predominantly enjoys exercising, catching up with friends, doing barbecues, and cooking. He has got a passion for traveling and meeting new cultures.
